What is Resource Admin?

Resource Admin is a microservice that provides a centralized interface for managing enterprise resources such as applications, groups, roles, and shared assets. It combines resource management tasks into a single interface to simplify workflows and reduce the need for multiple administrative tools.

Who Uses Resource Admin?​

Resource Admin is intended for individuals responsible for managing enterprise resources, including:

  • Application administrators
  • Group and access managers
  • Resource owners managing shared folders or mailboxes
  • Administrators configuring Management Roles or other access policies

Accessing Resource Admin​

You can access Resource Admin in two ways:

Method 1: Through the EmpowerID Web Application​

Follow these steps to access Resource Admin via the EmpowerID Web application:

  1. Log in to the EmpowerID Web application.
  2. Navigate to the Identity Administration section.
  3. Select Resource Admin (Microservice) from the navigation menu. Navigate to Resource Admin

Method 2: Direct URL Access​

You can access Resource Admin directly by entering its URL into your browser. If you are not authenticated, you will be directed to do so before access is granted.

Note: The URL will be specific to your organization's configuration.

Your First View​

When you first open Resource Admin, you'll arrive at the Applications page, the default starting point. From here, you can:

  • View and manage available applications
  • Switch to other resource types, such as groups or roles
  • Use filters to quickly locate specific resources
  • Access detailed resource information
